About Kato Music Studio

Picture of pianist Lisa Kato playing keyboard for the Southeast Civic Light Opera
Piano Teacher Lisa Kato currently serves as Branch Honors Recital Chairperson for the Long Beach Branch of the Music Teachers Association of California. Ms. Kato is also a member of the American College of Musicians (National Guild of Piano Teachers), the Southwestern Youth Music Festival, and the International Association for Jazz Education (I.A.J.E.).

Quarterly recitals help students to set goals and maintain healthy practicing habits. Students of varying ages and ambitions (Kato Music Studio students range in age from five years old to sixty-two!) are encouraged to discover their own potential through carefully chosen activities which suit their interests.

Students can choose to participate in a range of fun, challenging, and educational music activities. Music Teachers Association of California State Convention, Certificate of Merit, National Piano Guild Auditions, Southwest Youth Music Festival, and Composers Today are just a few of the options available.
